Subscriptions and memberships for restaurants: coffee subscription, lunch card and season card in the app

A subscription turns an occasional customer into a regular. The customer pays a fixed monthly price and gets, say, their daily coffee or lunch at a better price. The restaurant gets predictable revenue.

In Cluby a subscription is a digital card on the customer's phone. You decide the product, the price and the terms, the customer buys the subscription in the app, and staff see at the till that it is valid.

Build subscription cards of every kind

Only your imagination sets the limit. Porridge, coffee, pool, door entry or meal cards. You decide.

How a customer uses a subscription

Step 1: The customer installs the app

From the app store or by scanning the QR code on your restaurant's materials. They can also join in the browser or by tapping an NFC card at the counter.

Step 2: The customer joins your loyalty program

By picking the restaurants they like in the app. They also join automatically with their first stamp or ticket purchase.

Step 3: The customer buys the subscription in the app

It is charged monthly and the card is on their phone. At the till, staff see that it is valid.

Step 4: The data lands in your restaurant's register

Every visit, stamp and purchase builds your restaurant's own customer register, and you can use it in your marketing.

What kinds of cards can you offer in Cluby?
01 / 4

What kinds of cards can you offer in Cluby?

There are three kinds of cards, all managed in one place:

Recurring subscription → for example a monthly coffee pass or lunch card. The customer pays monthly and uses the benefit daily.

One-off card → for example a VIP card or a season card valid for a set period.

Given card → free of charge to chosen members, partners or staff.

Card holders can be given benefits and messages of their own that other members don't see.

Where does a subscription fit?

Where does a subscription fit?

Café → coffee subscription: one coffee a day at a fixed monthly price. The customer comes in every morning, and often buys a pastry too.

Lunch restaurant → lunch card: a month of lunches paid up front. The restaurant knows how many lunch guests to expect and gets the money in advance.

Nightclub → entry card: subscription-based free entry or first access to popular nights.

Bar or restaurant → season card: for example a benefit card for the summer terrace, or a membership with a monthly benefit.

Why is a subscription worth it for the restaurant?
03 / 4

Why is a subscription worth it for the restaurant?

Predictable revenue → the subscription is paid up front, not visit by visit.

A better margin on the product → the customer commits for longer in return for a better price, and visits more often.

The customer is in your register → every subscriber is a member you can message and offer more to.

No cards and no bookkeeping at the counter → the subscription shows on the customer's phone and to staff at the till.
